Our position counts for nothing (very little) if the pot is such that one person is all-in before the flop and there is < 1 psb left to bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

that's why I'm in the call camp. To use position.

call because we're rarely getting it in great if we do get it in pre, and the money isn't deep enough that we can steal alot of pots post.

we're rarely getting out money in bad, though, either, and I think that against bad shortstackers (and mostly they are awful) our queens rate to be good here most of the time and sometimes crushing. Does no-one like the line of raising to $40, getting UTG to shove, then shoving over the top of the sandwiched caller if he calls?

one person has agreed with you already, I'll just state that I'm the hero in this hand, my image is not good enough to allow stealing, and the people in this game just don't fold, like ever. i'll also state that people's preflop standards are awful and QQJ9ss rates to be the best hand between the 3 of us in so far considerably > 50% of the time in this spot. Does this change your analysis?

I enjoyed the cryptic 'who could the hero be' thread!

In all seriousness wazz you answered your own (or OP's) question. If your QQ is good >50% of the time you reraise.

I for one prefer the take a flop line; especially if you can get it in on the flop with a dodgy gutshot, q high flush drw and an overpair on a straightening board!
