Default NL50, QQ OOP against 3bet

BTN is a tricky and somewhat LAGgy player(40/25) over a small sample. I've seen him openlimp KK from the button earlier (which seems stupid given his image)

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $49.50
BB: $67.45
Hero (UTG): $50.00
MP: $26.70
CO: $75.26
BTN: $155.46

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $2.00, 2 folds, BTN raises to $5.00, 2 folds, Hero calls $3.00

Flop: ($10.75) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: ($10.75) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $6.00, BTN raises to $12.00, Hero ???

Is my play standard so far? I would never feel comfortable folding an overpair against this guy, so I don't want to build a pot here.

If I call turn, how much can I call on the river? (assuming a blank hits)

anyone play it totally different?

I pot this turn.

ok fine. but hypothetically, how would you respond to a min-raise then?
How would you proceed on the river if you just get a call on the turn?

As played, what do you think I should do? Do you think my argument for playing a small pot is valid or just stupid?

I think you should of bet the flop to be honest. What are you scared of here by checking? Your opponents hand is now so much less defined by letting him check behind. You dont know if he is slowplaying or has nada. So now youve been minraised on the turn and you dont know if its cause he doesnt believe you or actually has a monster, i think a flop bet solves that (Or at least confronts prior to a card that allows draws to hit or give them odds to continue.)

To be honest, i think im pretty much going all in here, ive got an overpair and the only hands that beat me are 77, 88, TT, KK, and AA.

Funny thing though is,i had an IDENTICAL hand to this the other day. Where i checked the turn and he hit a set of tens lol. But thats my advice.
