Re: $20 SnG
[ QUOTE ]
Remember, the BB pushed with 20xBBs, so he likely has a solid hand. [/ QUOTE ] This is totally false... if he had a big hand, he wouldn't push for 20BB... probably a mid pair (99-JJ, QQ maybe...) or AT+ For OP, calling a raise of 15BB is no good. You are probably drawing at best to 4-5 outs but why risk it so early?! if an A/K comes on flop, you have to call any raise/go all-in because you already put 33% of your stack. The CO stone cold call is frightening, Your probably down to 3 outs (AA/KK really possible for CO => 2.9BB raise, cold call). Just fold, take notes and own the bubble afterwards... |

Re: $20 SnG
Perhaps my term "solid hand" was misleading. I actually meant exactly what you said - 99-QQ, AJ+ and probably not KK or AA, so I meant a decent hand, but not a big hand. Point being OP can't expect to be better than a coin flip and why take that chance now.

Re: $20 SnG
Its very likely that the guy in the BB could have AK in this spot as well. I'm thinking the CO/Big Stack has something like a pair of tens or jacks. It is early on in the tournament and unless you think you are up against two pocket pairs lower than Queens its a fold. I would save my chips for another day.

Re: $20 SnG
I folded.
BB showed 1010. CO showed AK. 4 spades to the turn and a King on the river, no one had a spade AK takes the pot. I still liked my laydown, especially AFTER seeing his cards. |

Re: $20 SnG
Guess I had it backwards but my logic was right.
Good Fold. |
