Default Maybe he\'ll fold

Stars $2/4. On my home computer not school comp. so I don't have Ptracker running. Villain seems kind of loose.

MP $140
BB $350
I have him covered

MP limps, i make it $20 with KQ spades, BB calls, MP calls

Flop: Q 10 3 rainbow (1 spade)

BB leads for $40, MP folds, I call

Turn: 8 spades
BB leads for $70, I jam

Is this okay? I guess air, Qs, sets, Q10 are in his range. He seems bad and will stack off with Q9,QJ,etc, may fold AQ,KQ but I doubt it....he probably comes in as like a 35/10 type of guy.

if you had bottom pair + fd i'd be a lot more excited about it. you're killing a lot of your showdown equity here if you push.

it is true you'll have some annoying decisions on a blank river, ubt so be it.

So he folds hands that you have dominated, and calls with hands that have you drawing to a flush or maybe a King.

This is after he led into a 3-way pot on the flop where you raised a limper. His hand screams monster, and your play is gross.

I can understand that maybe when playing it looked alright, but how doesn't this look terribly played now?

You can't assume both in this hand, make a decision and act upon.

You have a strong hand. With the flush draw a push is not a disaster - your equity is decent even against a semi-tight calling range.
But given your read (villain won't fold a hand that have you beat), a call is much better when you hold a hand with showdown value.

With the f-draw, you have more outs when behind than villain has when he is behind. Since you very well could be behind, you should not bloat the pot and push away his weakest holdings.

I think shoving is *ok* because versus a 35/10 here we are in decent shape.

I do prefer calling though. He has about $220 left after the $70 and we cover. If he was shorter I think shoving would get better, but since there's still a lot left, we can call just for our flush draw and fold blank rivers. I think this is probably the most profitable line, especially when you don't think we have much fe.
