I was 225, now about 206, last few weeks have been frustrating, I've eaten healthily, and have averaged 30 mins quite intensive cardio with 15 minutes weights per day, with little weight loss Very discouraging.

Thanks for whoever bumped this. I started at 380 on June 1, down to 340 yesterday. Follow weight watchers religiously and work out 3 times per week and it really is impossible to not lose weight.

[censored].

I haven't lost any weight in six weeks really. Very discouraging. I've been pretty depressed for the last few weeks as well. I'm in a pretty high stress time right now, and I'm handling it with all of my usual crutches. Drinking lots, smoking weed frequently and emotional eating all the time. I'm going to mix it up a bit this week, no drinking, vastly reduced weed use and I'll be trying some new healthy foods and different exercises to get me interested again.

This hasn't been bumped in awhile. Any progress?

I'm down to 328 from 380 on June 1. Doing well, although I had my first up week a couple weeks back. That wasn't good. This past week was very good to me. It's holiday season, which means the foods will be tempting me -- I wish us all willpower!! Weight Watchers rules.

BUUMMMP.

It's kinda weird. I wouldn't say I'd given up, but I sure wasn't trying really hard. I was still walking to the bus stop, and trying to eat well, but I wasn't hitting the gym and I wasn't keeping a strict diet. I was at about 320ish.

Then a couple things happened.

1- I kept getting dehydrated, so I starting making a point to drink a lot more water. I was drinking out of this big pickle jar at home, and probably 4x-ed the amount of water I drink.

2- Really more in the name of controlling cost moreso than eating, I bought some cereal, yogurt and granola bars and made that my breakfast at my desk every morning instead of hitting up the stop n rob next door.

3- I just got back into a pattern of cooking meals instead of going out.

Still, I was slipping, still making some bad choices, and feeling bad about myself. I'd just bought a car and had been driving to the park and ride instead of walking. I'd avoided the scale for months. At some point right before thanksgiving I was like "[censored] it, let's see what the damage is" fully expecting to have put on some weight.

311.

WHOA.

A lot changed. I liked the way I looked more, I started noticing that clothes fit/looked better, I was just feelig a lot better about myself.

Realizing that I'd actually lost weight functionally without trying made me focus a lot more on the things I could do to pick up the pace. I've been hitting the gym (just 30 minutes of cardio so far per session, going to work on getting weight training involved next week).

Somehow over thanksgiving I lost more weight (lots of walks, not lots of eating). The next test is obviously xmas, and that'll be hard. Still I'm hoping to ride this good feeling and keep making progress. For the first time it feels like I really turned a corner.

Nice work dids.

Keep up the good work.

I'm gonna weigh myself today and I think I may be a little unhappy with the results.

From Thanksgiving up until about a week ago I hadn't been eating all the well and I really felt like I was either holding steady or I had put a few pounds back on.

Either way, I'm back into eating healthier again so those pounds I put on over Thanksgiving should be gone in no time.

I'm going to start Body-For-Life tomorrow. I have been reading and rereading the book, starting some serious planning, and am going to do B4L to the absolute best of my ability for the next 12 weeks and document my progress on it in this thread!

[/ QUOTE ]

I did B4L half-assed 3 years ago and went from 230 - 186 in 12 weeks. In fact some people at work asked me if I was "sick/OK" because the weight loss was so fast. Of course I stopped doing it and now I'm back up to 245...Going to do something starting on the first of the year though.

I'm 210 and the doctor told me I need to get myself to 175 because I'm old and will have cholesterol problems if I don't. Suggestions?

Ray
