Default Advice on building a bankroll (not an \"i wanna go pro\" post)

Hi,

I've been playing poker online for a couple of years now as a hobby, and doing reasonably well at the micro & low limits. I recently decided however that i'd like to concentrate on my poker more, and build my roll up to a half decent amount for some nice extra spending money each month.

Now i've already got pokertracker, although for my sins I havent been taking full advantage of it. I would like to move my money to a site that isnt a rock garden, good pokertracker support, can multitable (i currently play at Pacific), and with rakeback.

What would your advice be on where i should sign up to?

Is it worth going to party and foregoing any rakeback for the easier games?

What's Empire like now its split off from Party?

Any other sites I should be thinking about?

Please advise. Thanks,

Steve.

Try Party, I think you will always find plenty of action there. As far as your bank roll goes the general rule is for a good player who earns one big bet an hour needs about 350 times the big bet to ensure not going broke, however, some of us may need more since our win rate may be lower. I try not to drop below 300BB for the limit I am playing. If it does, it is time to drop down to a lower limit.

Good luck!

Empire poker is now one of the toughest sites I've played at after the split. You will, most likely, win more even without rakeback at party.
