$600 NL picking off a bluff
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
UTG ($588) MP ($705.45) Button ($352.05) Hero ($2433.19) BB ($600) Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $3. <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $24</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero (poster) calls $21, BB calls $18. Flop: ($72) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> Hero checks, BB checks, MP checks. Turn: ($72) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $54</font>, BB folds, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $154</font>, Hero calls $100. River: ($380) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> Hero checks, MP calls $705.45 (All-In), I mean his line here is basically nuts or air. Villain is bad he's only been at the table for like 20 hands but he's been playing a lot of hands and he made some stupid comment in chat so I naturally assume he's bad. edit: Villain instashoved the river FWIW. |

Re: $600 NL picking off a bluff
I like folding/raising preflop. On the flop he could have flopped very strong or decided to slowplay AA/KK cuz of the dry board. He could have 57ss(which would be funny). I think there's to many hands that beat you here to make a heroic call esp. since you have to be right so often for it to be profitable.

Re: $600 NL picking off a bluff
Doesn't he make this same play with AK spades? or even Q-10 spades? Why such a big river bet if he has a set? After the flop check, he could easily have 10s, or AK. Tough to see without knowing where you are. I like a lead out bet on the flop. Your hand is disguised, so I like a call. He def. either has the nuts or nothing.
