By the way guys, if we're gonna bring alcohol there...we better be sneaky.

i've seen people walking through the poker room with 1- a handle of captain and putting it on the table next to his chips. 2- a 12 pack in no bag....just a 12 pack

sneaky? pfffft.

I think they allowed it before, but they want to stop it so that they can get a legitimate liquor license. Because liqour license = Major profit for casinos.

From what I heard when my casinos class went there...their food and beverage director said that under no circumstances will they make the casino 21+, but they still want alcohol.

I have a feeling that hard line stance makes negotiations exponentially harder.

Post to all golfers out there:

Driverseati and I are booking a tee time for Monday August 13th early afternoon sometime (noon-2) at the Atunyote golf course if anyone wants to play. They're running a PGA Tournament on this course a month or so after the poker tourney series, so it'd be cool to play a PGA quality course. Just post here if you're interested, you'd have to skip the $325 bounty event, but that's a very skippable event.

Yeah, at Cornell every fall there's a casino operations class offered through the Hotel School.

Do you think there's a chance that any pros come to this event?

Also, what sort of comps do you think I can get if I play in every event?

EDIT: Any idea if there will be any sats into bigger tournaments?

Yeah, this is a recent rule. Just put any liquor you buy in a backpack or something when you bring it in. I'm sure a lot of the employees at TS could care less but I wouldn't risk going through the hassle in case you run into someone who does.

Pretty sure I'll be going up, anyone have an open room?

IM me or whatever, I'm not a slob and I'm surprisingly normal despite any message board impressions you may have.

Okay, all set on lodgings so no IMs/PMs necessary.

Now just need to figure out staking/getting robusto enough to play the 1k and 5k in two weeks.

I am definitely going.

Booked a room for the tower 13th-20th or so I think. Looking foward to some deep cash games and warmin up for EPT Barcelona.
