Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 3, Thur., July 12 **
I dont know if anyone said this but maybe for the ME they should make the Bubble worth twice the first level of payout...
ex. if the 521 is the bubble boy and 520 gets paid $20k...give the bubble $40k.....this would be the craziest moment of the tourney obv...but yeah...could be fun... edit...nvm didnt even think about this 522..is the new bubble i like the sliding suggestion.... |

strategy for that. if your table is the last one playing and youre kinda short and the person before the bubble boy gets knocked out. bet all but your smallest denomination chip, fold to your opponents raise. win the "who had the least chips at the beginning of the hand" bubble battle.

Oh, [censored]...
[ QUOTE ] Humberto Brenes Doubles Up Three players, including Humberto Brenes limped in and saw a flop of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}. The big blind bet 15,000 and only Brenes called. The turn was the {6-Hearts}. The big blind bet 38,500, the exact amount remaining in Brenes' stack, and Brenes called instantly. "You got me" said the big blind, showing {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Brenes turned over {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and starting waving his famous "Chark" around, saying something about how the shark might be hungry as the ESPN cameras swarmed. The river was the {Q-Diamonds}, and Brenes doubled up to 153,000. [/ QUOTE ] |

Bubble ownage... [ QUOTE ] Poker, Lee Watkinson Style We were told during the break that the action on Lee Watkinson's table during the hand for hand period was a little unusual. Lee's table was great for him as it had 8 players with short stacks and him, sitting on nearly half a million. So Lee decided to take over, betting 150,000 without even looking at his cards, if anyone wanted to play with him they had to call all in. He did this every hand until we hit the money. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] His ownage probably helped someone at his table fold into the money. |

GG all 2+2rs ... now, one of you guys take it down. Go get Gus, because he is an obvious lock. NCAces [/ QUOTE ] BTW, I've played Mimi heads-up several times and have beaten her each time (total about $15K at 100-200 to 200-400). She's not so strong heads-up; I don't think she adjusts well from her generally solid ring-game play. |
