Re: Wong Teasers, Week 12
[ QUOTE ]
So in summation, your feelings are that all teasers should be done whenever you see them without regard for sharpening numbers? Great. What a novel and +EV idea. [/ QUOTE ] uh yea.. you must've missed when i said this [ QUOTE ] also, this where line-movement prediction becomes vital for a capper. anyone who has experience could've seen that wash+3 and caro+3 were moving in opposite directions. [/ QUOTE ] okay i'll give you this, if you're a newbie who is absolutely clueless about line movement and have absolute no opinion on the sides, then yes, it's conceivable that you can obtain a better edge by letting others sharpen the spread for you before you tease.. however, if you have confidence that you have a reasonably sound judgment in regards to line movement. then there is nothing wrong w/ teasing early and derive more ev off the rogue spreads.. using the example of teasing a +3 -130 candidate early (same as +2.5 -110) b/c it finished +3.5 as a reason for why you shouldn't tease games early, is as ridiculous as saying you shouldn't ever bet openers b/c the +3 opener you took straight up *might* have a chance to close at +3.5 in the end, it's all about how sound your judgment in regards to line movement is and not at all about whether +3 -130 is a good tease early or not. |
