Default Boring PF Rebuy Question

100 or 215 rebuy
neither you or the opponent have been going apeshit
both have 3k

In EP open 3x (to 60) with kings or aces. Villian repops in middlish position to 180

Your play?

Edit: Play with qq/ak?

100 rebuy cuz even if you havn't been going crazy you'll get called by mid pairs and at least AQ/AK. the 200 rebuy plays much tighter in my experience, so i'd be more likely to either just reraise or flat if the reraiser had been tight.

100r i always shove here.

I don't have enough 200r experience to really comment, though i think the same.

I'd also jam QQ, AK....probably just call unless villain is known rebuy nut (which in your example, he's not.) IDK, maybe thats bad but i just don't think you get called by AQ or worse enough to make it profitable.

I don't think it matters much how often you get called by AQ since 99-JJ are like always calling.

edit: that would apply to QQ, but shoving AK is fine too because AQ calls a lot

i like shoving because if they dont call you can always make a note that they like to find out where they're at in rebuys

My issue djk, is that when somebody just 3X reraises an utg reraise instead of calling/reraising big/shoving i tend to give them a much tighter range unless their known player. Vs any known i probably just jam but vs some unknown i think their range is a lot tighter than we often expect in rebuy period.

Yea this is true, but to be honest I don't apply a whole lot of strategy in the rebuy hour, especially early on with only 3k chips. I generally just shove AK and hope for the best, which sounds donkish but whatever lol.

DJK, if getting it in pre flop with AK during the rebuy period is donkish/spewy, it certainly isn't by much. I doubt your ever really making a "mistake" doing that.

Ya i agree. That's why I just stick it in there. I just meant it sounded donkish, but I actually think it's a good strategy early on in the rebuy hour.
