How many 2p2ers who buy expensive watches go straight to the Bellagio so they can sit with their elbow up on the table and try to impress a bunch of idiots? Probably quite a few.

Do people leave the chronograph running all the time? It seems pointless since there's the small seconds hand but I like the way it looks moving.

panerais are the shizznit. The fact that they're barely mentioned in this thread makes me want one even more.

[/ QUOTE ]

They probably make a about 1/10 of the amount of watches that Rolex make every year.

My mum bought this watch for me about 20 years ago, when I was around 14 or so, during a visit to the Canary Islands.

The plastic band didn't last too long so I had it replaced with a black metallic chain that colours off on my wrist when it gets wet.

It's got room for 30 phonenumbers, 5 alarms, dual time, stopwatch, countdown, is water proof, probably cost about $15 at the time and yes, I still wear it.

Balla?

Well since someone brought my thread back from the grave, and for the benefit of those in the market for a good watch, here is my current "Desired Watches" list (no particular order):

1) IWC need no introduction

2)

3) Just a good, simple watch. B&R not cheap though.

4) Hublot. Typically some of the most expensive watches on the market. I don't like 99% of Hublot but this is a classic IMO.

5)I thought this "fire orange" was fun.

6) This is a Girard-Perregaux R&D 01. Limited to 250 so I doubt I'll be getting one...

There's a few more floating out there from Rolex and Brietling such as this one. It's nice and big and obnoxious:

7)

Hope this has been helpful. Any questions, fire away.
