Default Razz steal gets picked off

And I proceed to mangle it horribly. Should I just give it up on 4th?

Lay it down on 4th (you know that's the right thing to do)

If not then you must fold 5th.

c/c is the worst possible line to take on 4th

Any merit to betting 4th? Surely I would if I had a legit starting hand, plus he might have paired the 6. Either way it must be better than c/c.

There isn't really. If he didn't believe you before he won't now, and even if you have A2 in the hole it's pretty even at this point if he didn't pair his 6.

As played, I would check/fold 5th also. At least check/call.

Either bet 4th or c/f.

Good play on 3rd to complete. c/f 4th. He's not folding this hand. He's given you all the info you need to know. Hardly cost you anything.

Even if you had perfect hole cards, you would only be slight favorite. If a wheel card hit, it might be OK to fire again, hoping he paired. Villain's hand is pretty much face up on 4th, and has yours crushed. Check/call is really awful.

4th is an auto-bet - you have the best four-card hand, you have T hi. And if you don't, you sure don't want him to know it. Or fold if you don't feel very gambly. No checking - checking is bad.
