Interestingly enough, I am close friends with a girl from the UK who just returned home for a year in hopes of receiving a kidney transplant. She thinks the show is pretty horrific. But, I guess if it really does bring to light the need, it might be ok.

I read in the paper that the 3 contestants aren't even confirmed matches. That means the "winner" she picks may not even be able to receive the kidney.

Lots of people signed up, and a lot of them got rejected because they weren't a match. So I suppose they got that part covered.

She's donating 1 kidney before she dies to whoever she chooses.
After she's dead the other kidney goes to whoever.

Anyone can do this. If you feel like donating a kidney, that is.

until recently (and it may still be in place, i'm unsure) families have had the right upon a person's death to prevent organ removal. If my family did that to me i'd go nuts, since I wanted to donate.

if your family didn't donate your organs after you died, you would . . . wait for it . . . "go nuts".

How does a dead guy go nuts? Is there an MSPaint diagram for this?

But the owner of the tv channel died because of a kidney disease, now the new director wants to bring the lack of organs to everybody's attention. He disgusts the concept, but he still wants to carry on with it to shock people who aren't in the organ donation database.

[/ QUOTE ]
So at first the show I was watching the guests are just making fun and thinking of examples of things the three people have to do, vying for the organs. But I agree they should just do several episodes to bring light of the issue.

Harris,
Which religion enforces that? I am Atheist so I don't know much about the specific.

NT!,
I wanted the people to discuss about the thread first before inputting my opinion, which I did after zeebo and and Harris. Unlike other people I don't put retarded rickroll crap or anything in my link. Maybe Pokeraz should get a star for trying to suck your balls.

Looks like the show was a hoax to get awareness for organ shortages.

LINK

Weird part is this:

"Under Dutch rules, donors must be friends, or preferably, family of the recipient. Meeting on a TV show wouldn’t qualify."
