The service between the Hilton and Resorts is available only to players who gamble at either of the casinos. Customers must earn at least one point gambling in the casino before being eligible to ride the shuttle.

Your players card is no good directly with the jitney. You need to present your Resorts Destination Casino Club card at either casinos promotion center and request a jitney pass.

Just an FYI - I do not know about the Hilton, but I know it takes ALOT of play to earn one point at Resorts. I can only imagine in the interest of fairness it would be the same at Hilton.

That sounds like a tremendous amount of hassle to avoid a $2 Jitney fare.

You may be talking about the Harrah's shuttle. which goes from Harrah's (at the marina) to Ceasar's, Bally's, then Showboat. I've taken this before, it basically serves most of AC because those 4 stops cover all the casino, except Tropicana and Hilton

Harrah's provides its own shuttle services to their casinos for hotel guests and those with plautium or higher players rewards cards (no service for gold card).

Hilton/Resorts has a contract with the AC Jitney association. The service is supposted to operate as a shuttle from one to the other. However, since Jitneys operate thoughout the whole city, it is hard for the driver to keep track or restrict where a rider gets off. So you will only be able to get on at Hilton or Resorts, but you can get off anywhere.

Yes, it is a lot of hassle just to save $2. It would only benefit you if you were actually playing there. Like I previously stated, it takes alot of play to earn that one point required for a free jitney pass. I do not know how much exactly earns you 1 point, but I know it is over $100 of play (I was bored during a Resorts poker tournament break, put $60 in that stupid large Wheel of Forture nickel slot just outside the room).

Therefore, is it technically not free. You have to play to earn it, and more then likely will lose more in play then the $2 jitney cost. Resorts/Hilton ends up paying the AC Jitney association for the cost of the free jitney pass, so why would they allow someone a free ride to Borgata just by showing their Hilton/Resorts card? They wouldn't.
