Default Planning a Poker Event

I need some advice on ways to make a good profit on a charity poker event. A friend came to me for help in setting this up. He wishes to run a tournament on New Year's Eve in a enormous bingo hall he owns. Honestly, I'm not sure about the best way to turn a good profi on this... any advice?
