Default Going Canterberry in MN

So a friend of mine needs a driving partner during his move back from MN.

I'm going to fly out there the 27th, play at the Canterberry club for a couple days and drive back with him.

Anyone know about the games out there?

Limit / NL???

Tournaments.

I think I'll be there the 27th of May - the 31st.

100% limit. $60 is the legal maximum bet. And the games are some of the best in the nation at the 30/60 level.

if 30-60 is the "big game" in MN... I imagine the level of play is similiar to 6-12 o 8-16 LA?

Do you know anything about the swings? Bigger or smaller than an LA or LV game?

I'm thinking about takine $4K or so.

I dumped 60 or so bets in that game, its a wild gambooling game. Very aggressive, very loose. I loved it, got in there when i had the best of it but the beats were brutal because the pots were so huge.

that's what I heard... my buddy has been playing 6-12 and 8-16 there and said the action is ripe.

not uncommon to go on a 4-5 rack up or down swing.

I think I'll commit $4K to the trip... if I get bad beat to death... oh well.

I also heard there is a casino that offers NL about 20 miles outside of the state. Any idea on this place? I can't find it on line or on pokeratlas

You might be talking about Turtle Lake - 1/2 NL, 2/5 NL and decent Saturday tournaments.

These limits mentioned (6/12, 8/16) are where I play and they are loose and overall very good. As mentioned lots of varience and people love to call with midddle pair, gutshots and so forth all the way to river. On nights they miss you can make some cash but nights they hit a lot you will struggle to break even and may want to pull your hair out. 8/16 plays a lot more aggressive than 6/12 with 3 bets and caps not uncommon pre-flop.
