Best way to get $ to Vegas

I was thinking of making a trip to Vegas and playing some of the reasonably high stakes games while I was there. nothing crazy, but maybe like a 25/50 or 50/100 if they're running. If I wanted to bring like $30 or 40k over there and I was flying can I just bring cash? Is this much cash allowed on flights? I'm sure I can bank wire to the casino also. Is this a pain in the ass? Do they wire it back to your account or give you cash to take back or can you choose? Thanks in advance for the help.

You SHOULDN'T have a problem with 40k. As long as you're not crossing country lines, you shouldn't have a problem with more than 10k.

Taking 40k cash on a plane is no problem from a legal standpoint. I've done it and it didn't make me feel really really comfortable, but its fine. Theres a very small chance you'll get detained and questioned on the off chance security even notices the money. In this worst case scenario, they still aren't going to charge you with a crime or send you to Guantanamo or anything. Sad but true, this is probably much less likely to happen if you're white.
Wiring money to the casino is a better option and not at all difficult. Call up the casino you want to wire money to, ask to talk to the main cage, they'll give you the information you need to give to your bank. You have to go to a physical bank to take care of it but if theres no line and you get a competent teller it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

It is legal to bring any amount of cash. No report is needed in domestic flights. For 10K or more on International flight, just report before landing to US airport - they give you a form.

BTW, there are citibank offices just two blocks away from the strip on Paradise Blvd.

Easiest way is to wire to the casino as they will take good care of you as well. And if you want to cash out with them it is easy and the have wire options.
