Re: Which under 25\'s will stand the test of time?
If I started traveling the circuit and didn't make a single final table in 2-3 years, well then I'd probably quit.
If Jon Little continues to make 3 per year, he won't quit. I think a lot of it has to do with variance. |

Re: Which under 25\'s will stand the test of time?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] The players who stick through with it are those who are more generally known for their lives in the live, gambling environment. Examples would be Nick Schulman and Joe Cassidy [/ QUOTE ] this answer really nails it [/ QUOTE ]While I believe these two are great players, I am not sure I favor the durability of a live player over an online one. To add to Goggles' post, I think the volume internet players put in makes the varience easier to handle and gives an edge to the guys who mix it up with good volume online as well as live play. |

Re: Which under 25\'s will stand the test of time?
[ QUOTE ]
With the likes of Durrr, Jman, Annette and ZeeJustin (just banging out two names of each discipline off the top of my head) the question is not whether they "can" still be killing poker at the highest levels in ten years time - it is whether they will want to. Given the winrate of some young players, if they invest it sensibly now they will probably not "have" to play poker or do any form of work within a few years. If they still want to play poker - they will still win at it. [/ QUOTE ] |

Alex Jacob - Big winner for his age and eager to get some bracelets, enjoys the game, good ability to extract info from opponents, good educational background.
Made a couple of bad reads at recent wsop but then who doesn't?! |

Re: Which under 25\'s will stand the test of time?
Bond,
I don't know you, however, I'm pretty sure you will not be playing as a pro in 10 years time. I can see you becoming intrigued by and perhaps successful in another line of work. Any player who has become highly proficient in mixed games has a much better chance at being a top professional. Also, a sheer compulsion toward gambling. So, perhaps Michael DeMichelle? Barry |

Did Tstone ever post in this forum? I played with him a bit in the WSOP and got the idea that he is way burned out.
