Re: A-rag good here?
[ QUOTE ]
Change the effective stacks to like 8BBs and it becomes a more interesting spot. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. So if villian insta-shoves 8bb from utg in this spot, what range do we need? This all is assuming we have no other reads on villian other than he raised in EP with 44 on the previous hand. |

Re: A-rag good here?
His range is probably any pair, any A, most Ks, Q7+, J8+, T8+, 98+, 67... or something similar-ish.

Re: A-rag good here?
Here's a similar range I used before.
Hand 0: 53.221% { 22+, A2s+, K7s+, Q8s+, J8s+, T8s+, 98s, A2o+, K7o+, Q9o+, J9o+, T9o } Hand 1: 46.779% { Ac5d } 4000 in the pot and it would be 3000 for me to call if he had a 3200 stack. So I'm getting 1.33-1 and I'm a 1.13-1 dog against his range. This is pretty damn close. I'd like to think I would still take the tiny edge because when he insta-pushes, it is less likely a big hand (he might pause a few seconds before pushing) and the fact that he could be tilting. But I think I would most likely fold because it is so marginal, I feel I can pick better spots with my new found FE. |
