Please use extreme caution. There are scammers on the prowl.
Despite the great advice and call for due diligence posted in this and the prior transfer thread, some are still falling victim to their schemes.

Your amount is over what I can comfortably trade, but if you would like, I'll help you research your potential trading partner.

If you would rather not get me involved, that's okay too. But please, please, please, research your partner thoroughly before sending any funds.

Clamper I think you intentions are good but lets be honest here most transfers go through without a hitch. As long as he checks for previous feedback from other trades maybe PMs some of the recipients that should be enough. Your reply makes it sound like he's playing Russian roulette. No need to scare people off, some good guys here that aren't going to dick anyone.

Please read the OP and all earlier warnings. Either we ban all mentions of transfers, period, or you must accept that they are entirely at your own risk; people are trying to scam you; you should obtain real life details, (name, address, phone number), about people in order to inform the police if you are scammed; exchange full details of the proposed transfer by e-mail; you should only transfer in amounts you are prepared to lose; google and Search the other person's name; ask here for references; a record of a few successful transfers can be a setup to scam on the next one; it seems likely but not definite that most scammers are newer posters; if the other guy won't transfer first, transfer in a number of small amounts; ask the other guy to sit at a table with his bankroll in front of him; etc; etc.

If you are in any doubt, or unwilling to risk losing the amount of money involved, don't offer to transfer first. Realise that you are likely to be scammed if you do.

Owing to a hacker using a long-time posters 2+2 PM facility to arrange a scam, I now also suggest that before transferring first you find out the other party's real name and e-mail the poker sites' Support to say that you understand that they cannot confirm the other guy's name, but your intention is to transfer to Player ABC whose real name is XYZ, and instruct them that if this is not the case, you do not wish the transfer to proceed.

I agree, no need to scare anybody off. Successful transfers can and do take place.

I notice that a couple of low posters have recently been taken advantage of. It has to be because they had not done enough research.

My aim is to guide someone through the process. As simple as the proccess is, I'm perplexed why people don't to even complete the basic steps.

If I can prevent a scam, or show someone how to identify a reliable trader a scammer, I'll consider it time well spent.

Look, my account got locked. I did not get a notice, I e-mailed support 48 hours ago, no response.

I did nothing wrong. I have been a player on FTP since it first opened. 3 years now!!!
