The only hands he calls a push with that you beat are a lower pair which is highly unlikely. He can't call a shove with ace hi, because the best he can do is tie. I like check turn call push and if he checks the turn c/c a river bet If has two overs I think its worth the risk at letting him draw to 6 outs because I can see him bluffing if you slow down.
