Default Windows No Disk Error

Nearly everytime I try to run a program on my new computer I get the following error:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR10"

What's causing this? How do I fix it?

More details. Does this happen for any program, a specific program? Google the phrase "There is no disk in the drive" and a bunch of different results come up and one of them probably relates to your situation.

Google should always be your first step to solving a problem with computers.
