Default damn literal flipaments

Brag: I convinced a large group of my non-gambling friends to play a $5 buyin, single elimination, winner take all, cut for high card tournament.

Beat: I lost in the first round, then challenged the winner to a double or nothing cut, which I naturally lost.

Variance: I didn't have enough cash on me to cover the ~$100 loss, so I wrote a check and in the memo put "because I'm a degenerate"

I'm pretty sure literal flipaments would involve some acrobatics or at least a coin.
