Semtex wins tard of the day award. Even if I agreed with your points I'd still think this since half of your points make zero sense and are just you throwing around random negative comments about the Pats. Also trying to justify your dislike of Boston fans is making you to seem like a huge tool - tonnes of people in this thread are not Boston fans and don't give a crap about this issue. If the Giants lose to the Patriots in the final game of the season I really couldn't care less if Brady is still throwing up 20 deep in the 4th.

to be completely honest dude, i had nothing against boston fans UNTIL this issue. i started a thread saying it was dumb to leave brady in and have been flamed relentlessly ever since.

Liverpool slaughtered Besiktas 8-0 in the Champions League and I heard nothing of "running up the score". The media was all about "magic performance", "stellar" and "oohh britney's panties ZOMG!!!!111" etc.

I don't want to start a whole American vs. European sports ethics argument, but this whole concept of running up the score being unethical would be unthinkable in any European sports. It's just not thought about.

I don't want to debate either, but I'm interested in hearing about this....are you saying that "running up the score" is a notion that only exists in America?

Australia once beat a team 31-0. Pretty sure that qualifies as running up the score.

From Wikipedia on Aussie ice hockey:

World records

Australia has the distinction of holding a world record for most goals and highest winning margin in a World Championship game; they defeated New Zealand by a score of 58-0 in 1987.

Australia's made up of a bunch of no good son of a gun swindlers running up the goddamn score all the friggin time. Apparently.

I assume that the other country lets the Special Olympics champ represent the country in World Cup Qualifying?
