Default Be my travel agent, Win $$$

Im looking for some kind of really nice place to stay in vegas for new years. Need like a 5 nights (including the 31st and the 1st, LDO) and should be as close to the strip as possible if not on it. Its for me and my wife, andHotel suite/condo/house all fine. preferably in the $3-$4k range. If i end up using anyone's suggestion i will ship $50 on stars, $100 if you find something amazing.

The Mirage
It's one of the nicest hotels on the strip and also is relatively cheap (Orbitz says as low as $89 per night but I'm pretty positive it's a good bit more). Also got really good customer reviews fwiw.

The Mirage sets a high standard for itself and for every other luxury hotel in Vegas. Its timeless beauty, tropical surroundings and exceptional service make it one of the most beloved hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.

Upon entering the legendary property, visitors hear the soothing sounds of waterfalls, smell the exotic flora and can stand on a bridge under the 90-foot-high glass atrium while taking in the tropical surroundings. Even the carpet in the casino looks tropical. You are in the Mirage, but it feels like Bali.

The extraordinary hotel experience continues with the breathtaking front desk area, which features a 20,000-gallon saltwater aquarium that houses 60 species of tropical fish. The 2,763 hotel rooms are nicely appointed, while the beautifully landscaped pool area is the ideal place to spend afternoons before heading inside, where a spa, impressionist extraordinaire Danny Gans and numerous restaurants -- including the delightful Carnegie Deli -- await. The Mirage is also home to Cirque du Soliel's LOVE and the Beatles-themed Revolution Lounge.
