I've got around to finally appreciating art recently and was wandering what sort of artwork / paintings are popular amongst 2+2'ers. Here's my choice for my current favourite painting;



Frederic Edwin Church- Morning in the Tropics.

Church is awesome. His stuff at the Smithsonian is just stunning to see in person. I've seen the original of that painting you posted and it is amazing. A lot of his pieces are huge in size as well, it really makes an impression in person. He's always one of my favorite painters.

Also, one of my favorite paintings ever is a Cezanne landscape. It's in the Philly Museum of Art, but I can't find a good pic of it right now. Here's a decent substitute:
