Default Sunday Hundred Grand question (?)

If two tournaments take 8 hrs; And one has 2000ppl and the other one has 18000ppl, is it significantly harder to win the 18000ppl one? Basically you'll be playing at a 9person table for the same length of time, so what makes it tougher?

Mathematically, it's harder to win a tournament with 18K players rather than 2K players because of well...the amount of players in each tournament. However, when the field get that huge, the difference in odds of winning are pretty negligible.
