Brag: New job = Fire Chief. Not bad for 29. Youngest in the state.

Beat: Real small town. Good sushi is 6 hours away now.

Variance: I will be at Benihana Sunday eating sushi all day.

How hard is it to get a job with the FD?

Really not hard if you have half a brain. Most now are focused so much on medical stuff, if you get your EMT (one semester) and have some college most places that moves you way up on the list.

Congrats. Not sure what Fire Chief pays where you are at, but it is a fairly nice paycheck in our town.

ty. and to whoever was asking bout being in the fire dept. it is a goot career, most stations, at least where I work, have wireless net so bring a laptop and pull down 7BB/100 for 10 hours a day while getting a $20/hr overlay is sweet!
