Default At the Cage

While this is about tipping, it's not about dealers, so hopefully it's ok to post.

I didn't think they were allowed to take tips.

I started tipping because it just seemed appropriate. I still haven't moved on to tipping chip runners yet.

I tip the cage when I had a positive session (usually $1-$2). I tip chip runners when they bring some whites along with the reds (tip = $1), but if it is all reds, then nothing.

I've never tipped a person at the cage. I would tip a chip runner over a person at the cage.

Though I should note that I play low limits. Maybe if I was cashing out a large amount that was somehow more difficult than "normal" but whatever.

I tipped at the cage once when I bought chips from a hot cage girl, and subsequently doubled up in 10 minutes playing craps. I cashed in to the same hot chick, told my story when she asked about the quick turnaround, and tipped her when she pretended to be interested in my good luck.

I wouldn't usually tip the cage.

PS: Please make the subject of your posts reflective of the post's content.

People who use the Search function to find answers to their questions will appreciate it; and if you are concerned about the people who don't care for tipping threads, be assured they are a small minority of the participants here and anyway they would surely be more pleased for you to make your post more easily searchable, as that would ultimately serve their interest in seeing the same topic brought up less often in a new thread.

Thanks.

I tip $1 most of the time, same for a chip runner.
