Why doesn't 2+2 spend a few K to hire a DBA to consult and finally fix whatever the hell is wrong with the server?

Because replacing the hamster or rubber band is cheaper.

This is true I don't even know if it is the database again, though I recall some problems with it in the past. Just frustrating when we are at a somewhat critical juncture with regs possibly appearing for comment. Given the amount of ad revenue they have presumably lost over the course of the year you would think it would be a no brainer to finally put the nail in the coffin...

Thanks for that. My question was more about what earned him the black title and his own forum as opposed to all the others who have 20k+ posts or whatever.

Mat thought it was funny. Plus, at the time [censored] was an EDF mod and he had the whole princess of darkness thing about him.

nath,

According to your usernotes it was GrannyMae who flipped your avatar. What a weirdo.

Reading Sklansky's stuff in his forum and NVG got my guard up big time. It just seemed so weird that he had to be effing with us. Then I remember Mat posting once in the Lounge that he thought his father was pretty eccentric (or something to that regards, I can find it if anyone cares) and that made me think he may be for real.

I can say that having met Mat a couple of weeks ago that he is definitely a pretty normal, smart cat with a good sense of humor, which should be obvious to anyone who has seen his posts over time. He semi-offered to meet up should I make it to Vegas in the future and I'd definitely take him up on that.

Are you saying that for reals or just because you hate him?
