I can't really be emphatic enough about how much I hate chris angel. I've seen it posted on here people asking how he does his levitation trick.

right no problem with traditional tricks and illusions. that's magic.

what I have a problem with is using camera tricks, special effects and stooges for an audience and then passing it off as the same thing.

I've written this before but if that's the standard for magic then George Lucas is the greatest magician alive today.

So, who ARE the standards for "magic" as you've defined it?

Personally, I've always considered all of them illusionists, but I was a D&D freak and had high standards for "magic"

I hate Cris Angel, too. That entire brand/genre of magic is unappealing to me. It's not fun when it's blatantly [censored]. Like walking in a room and he's just sitting upside down on the cieling, eating nails or something gay.
