Re: 2008 Living & Travel Arrangements - Questions & Comments
A few changes:
Jan: Bondi Beach Feb: Bondi Beach (1-2 weeks in New Zealand) Mar: Bondi Beach Apr: Bondi Beach (2 weeks) / Thailand (2 weeks) May: Barcelona (PPM Cruise for 1 week & Venice for 1 week) Jun: Barcelona (Travel through Spain for 2 weeks) Jul: Barcelona (Paris for 1 week) Aug: Iceland for 1 week, New York for 2 weeks, Montreal for 1-2 weeks Sep: Vancouver for 2 weeks, California + Seattle for 2 weeks Oct: Buenos Aires Nov: Buenos Aires Dec: Buenos Aires Jan: Buenos Aires I've bought my ticket from SFO to Sydney which I found on airefare.com. Flight is nonstop and 14.5 hours long. Cost $1150 one way. I am in the process of booking the apartment I mentioned above. Plan is to live in Bondi Beach then take a 1-2 week vacation to New Zealand in February to renew my visa. Live in Australia until mid-April then go on vacation for 2 weeks in Thailand while making my way over to Venice for the PPM cruise. Spend an extra week in Venice then continue on to Barcelona. By the end of the next few days I plan to have everything finalized up until the end of the PPM VI cruise. |

Re: 2008 Living & Travel Arrangements - Questions & Comments
I stayed at the Downtown Paraiso hostel in Barcelona for 4 nights this summer. It was very nice for the price.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was near optimal; close enough to the action of Las Ramblas but far enough away that you could easily fall asleep at night. Try to book one of the rooms on the outer patio if you can. The rooms are more private and seemed cleaner. |
