Default 27$ 20.000$ guaranteed: J8 flops 2pair out of BB vs minraiser

This hand happened a few minutes ago. My Question is:

a) do you bet the turn? I decided no to, because either he`s an AA minraise donk or hands like AJ got there. It could also be a scare card for him, so i checked

b) Do we valuebet this river? for the same reasons like in a) or what do we check/call?

Any comments appreciated. BTw, i was willing to stack off if he pushed. Bad?

you preflop spewing, FPSing, piece of [censored].

i think stacks are perfect for a checkraise on the flop.

As played, I check and see what happens.

I think the turn check is good, with no reads and a min raise preflop this guy could have something like AK, AQ and AJ suited or unsuited, however, he could also have raised with a hand like 88, JJ or even with suited connectors. I also like the turn check because it keeps the pot smaller than it could be. For example if you bet 1000 and he re-raised, are we giving him credit and folding, are we calling and trying to take another card off? On the river I think I would most probably check call, if he put us all in then I would consider folding but I would probably call. I think too often this is AK, AQ, or 77, 99, 1010, JJ, QQ or KK. If he called your flop bet and hit the flush he was obviously incorrect to do so.

Edit: Ps. It is -Ev to play a tourney that costs $27 dollars when the prize pool is only guranteed to be $20.

To play devils advocate:

PF call is pretty standart. We are deep enough, so i get enough implied odds.
I don`t like to cr the flop, because it looks very strong and gives him the chance to fold everything besides a TP and maybe even that.
If i lead, donks might call with AK or i can stack QQ+ faster.

Devils adv.:

Why are you bet/folding turn? Against good players, prolly. But this is a donkament and AK will stack off.

I was willing to stack off if necessary at any point of the hand (cause ppl are so bad). Is this attitude that horrible?

I don't think that attitude is wrong for these stakes. I think you're beat here on the turn but I'd likely stack off with it too. Could be KJ just as easily as AA. I'd need more of a read to really opine.

As for your flop bet I agree with closer to pot size. You gave him 1.6:1 + implied. If he plays and knows the math but not you, he might assume the implied odds are your stack if he's on Ax [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] which is a perfectly reasonable hand to min raise with. I don't think we really learned much with the t800 on the flop.
