Default SB hand

I usally bet out the turn but i thought maybe checking was better here. To avoid getting raised by an ace and get action by a worse hand on the river. Thoughts?

I'd fold pf and Check the flop and probably raise but could call because the pot size is so small getting bets off weaker hands is where you make your money.

With your hand on the turn checking to try and induce weaker hands/draws is ok since the pot is so small giving a free card isnt too costly and getting raised there sucks. On the river im not sure what to do since the only draw got there and the pot is so small i'd probably bet fold it but going for check calling again seems ok.

I toss this preflop, but I'd probably play K8 and upward against weak opposition. Besides, the rake really sucks at 1/2.

Postflop I'm betting until told to stop. Check/calling to induce a weak bet is problematic because you'll be placed in a tough spot too often on the river when a bad card falls.

I doubt preflop is +EV, but whatever.

Bet the turn. The pot is protected so dont be scared to bet/fold if it goes bet call raise. There are plenty of worse hands that will call you as well.

I definitely fold this preflop.

After that I just keep betting my good pair until facing resistance. I think you can safely fold to a raise anywhere.

What is a protected pot?
I find it hard to play out of position so i guess thats why i c/c. But when im thinking about it a bit more betting seems better. Flushdraws will call and some (bad?) players probably call with a lower pair and maybe even QJ, JT.

Would a hand like T9s be a better pf call than my K5?

Multiway pot - bets/raises into multiple opponents are less likely to be bluffs.

Aside from K5o sucking, this is the main reason to fold PF. You hit your best card and have to play it softly.
