Default $75 FT Tournament, 27 Left

No reads, been disconnected for 20 minutes before this and when Im back Im at a new table, pretty much 2nd hand since Im back. We are just in the money, 27 left.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t250/t500
(Ante: t50)
9 players
Converter

Hero: 9.67k
Villan: 14.94k

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP2 with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
2 folds, MP1 raises to t1500, Hero raises to t4000, 5 folds, MP1 calls t2500(pot was t6700).

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (t9200, 2 players)
MP1 bets t9200</font>,Hero ?</font>.

This seems like such a weird bet since Im pretty much pushing in here with most of my range and only 5.6k back. I had some thoughts on what he had but wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

Comments pre-flop also appreciated.

Ok easy solution, I guess Im short enough to make this an easy push. As played, anyone have idea what hand he makes this play with? And therefore what I should do now.

push pf

aggressive villans can do this with plenty much anything although your pfraise was a bit on the bigger side for villan to call with everything in his raiserange

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $80/$160
9 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $5520
UTG+1: $1865
hero: $3655
MP2: $7805
MP3: $3065
CO: $4210
Button: $1650
SB: $1230
BB: $3630

Pre-flop: (9 players) hero is MP1 with 5&amp;#9829; 7&amp;#9829;
2 folds, hero raises to $480, 2 folds, CO raises to $960, 3 folds, hero calls.

Flop: J&amp;#9829; 6&amp;#9829; A&amp;#9830; ($2160, 2 players)
hero bets 2,695, and is all in
Feddz: kk unreal
Feddz folds
Uncalled bet of 2,695 returned to hero
hero wins the pot (2,160)

if I was villian and I had the Ax, I'd certaintly check because, as you said, you're pushing flop. Id say his range is likely anything but ax, likely the flush draw that would love a free turn, to random pairs.

My thought was the only hand that makes sense to put this bet in here is if you cant call the shove. Therefore given action this is only really hands like 77,99,TT etc. which were tempted in by the fact it was only 2.5k to call but now cant beat any of the range for r/r an early position raiser.

I called pretty quick because of this, he showed KK. I dont really understand his bet but seems to be a long the lines of 'I think I'll flat call the preflop raise and get it in on a low flop, oh sh*t theres an Ace, now what, push'.
