[ QUOTE ]
i was thinking about possibly going to a 1080p lcd setup (like 42" probably) but i dont know if that is big enough... can anybody who has done this comment on the ability to see small details (eg pt stats) from like 10 feet away?

thanks.

[/ QUOTE ]
I do this with a 40" 1080p LCD. For 4-tabling (tiled) at FTP I have to be within about 6 feet to be able to read everything.

If you do this go with the LCD over a plasma. I worked as a TV salesman for a couple years. It wasn't common but I did see at least 6-8 plasmas get burned in. LCDs don't burn in period. And the screens arn't glass, so glare isn't a problem either.

Never use a Plasma as a computer monitor with static images displayed on it. They have gotten better than old plasmas, but burn in is still a factor. At best buy we get burn in from certain loops that have a static image on them, just not worth the risk to me. Get a 1080p LCD...
