Default PP $11s: Is my ace good here?

Villain had played pretty tight and was content to make it ITM. do these type of players usually loosen up enough to warrant a call with my ace here or is it a no-brainer anyways?

Depends on how often he has been pushing. If I think the player is good I would call here. If he is a passive limper fold it.

Is this the first hand you've played heads up vs. this guy? If not, has he pushed before? This definitely isn't an autocall vs. the type of player described.

You need him to be pushing 30% or more to make this a +EV call, which means he's pushing (22+,A2+,K8o+,K4s+,QTo+,Q9s+,JTs), which seems a little loose to me considering the tight description you've given him.

If he's pushed before heads up, then I call. Otherwise I fold and attack him with raises of my own.

Not an autocall against the player described. Most players loosen up substantially heads up, especially if you're constantly pushing into them, so it's doubtful you're throwing away much $$$ by calling with A5 here.

Also, trying to apply this situation to all your SNGs as a general rule just isn't going to work. If Villian had less chips, this would shift to an autocall against pretty much any opponent.
