Im actually the am 100% the other way. I hate KG had have for years. But im a huge timberwolves fan, them trading him is the best thing to happen to us in years.

I hope all the people in Boston enjoy KG, he's a fun player to watch. However, he doesn't earn his $20+ million a year salary, has a history of running all-star caliber players out of town and never takes shots during crunch time.

From another MN sports fan, this is 100% true. We should have thrown McHale into the deal for nothing. The thing that sucks is that I'm pretty sure Garnett was 100% sincere when he said he wanted to win in Minnesota and play there forever. I blame everything on McHale and Starbury. He and Starbury could have been great for a long time if Starbury didn't crave the spotlight more than the trophy.

It is McHale and the Joe Smith signing that [censored] the wolves for years. With all those penalties it was almost impossible to build a team around KG.

To some poster above, are you serious about KG running all stars out of town? When did he ever play with one? Sam Cassell had 3/4 of a great year there. Other than that he never had anyone. KG was such a great teammate he made Latrell Sprewell fit in. That is almost impossible.

Starbury leaving was obviously and by all first hand accounts due to his wanting "his own team".

Spreewell didn't accept the contract he was offered, claiming he "has mouths to feed". He proceeded to not work for anyone that year. His kids are probably getting very skinny. BTW, this quote always reminds me of Ewings quote, "We might make more money, but we spend more money." Geniuses.
