Roommate is arguing that buying cheap seats (like to a Pittsburgh Pirates game) and moving down to better seats is stealing. Someone set him straight.

if the seats are empty, then they either weren't sold, or the people that had them left early because they were embarassed that the pirates suck so bad. either way, you aren't costing them any money by moving down to better, already vacant seats.

You are costing them money, and you are stealing. That being said, I've done this before and don't care when people do it.
