according to full tilt's support e-mail to me, the tournies are going to be cancelled:

- If you were not "in the money", everyone in the tournament (including
those who busted early) will be refunded the full buyin for the event.

you cannot be [censored] serious

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't believe that is correct. If you busted early, you won't get any money back. If the tourny had not reached the money, the players remaining will get their buy in back and the buy ins of the players eliminated will be distributed among the remaining players based on chip counts.

this is the e-mail i recieved from full tilt:
Thank you for your email. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our game servers are temporarily down pending emergency maintenance. If
you were seated at a table, the following will occur:

- If you were "in the money" in a tournament (or S&G), then the
tournament will be paid out according to your chip position at the time
of the disconnect. If you were the chip leader in the tournament at the
time of the disconnect, you will win first place and be credited with
the money.

- If you were not "in the money", everyone in the tournament (including
those who busted early) will be refunded the full buyin for the event.

- If you were involved in a cash game hand, the hand will be rolled
back, returning all money to those involved (including anyone who may
have folded).

We certainly do apologize for the inconvenience, and are working on
ways
to improve our network service to be more redundant, secure and stable.
We appreciate your patience and patronage at Full Tilt Poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please post back when this issue is resolved. I busted from a tournament a few weeks ago when the same thing happened and got nothing back but didn't expect to after I read their T&C's. So if they have changed their policy on this, I will make an issue with them. I expect this support guy to apologize to you for telling you wrong and you'll probably get a few bucks compensation for him screwing up.

Let us know what happens, I assume this will be tomorrow.

If FT really sent this then they're wrong. No site would do it this way. Can you see why? (Hint: They've already earned the rake for those who have been eliminated.)

Full Tilt didn't send ANYONE an email regarding these tournaments going down, their turnaround time on emails is Pathetic, even for the most simple query.

Where are the FT spokepersons today?
