Default Posts of the form \"Ask [personX] about [topic Y]\"

I just noticed this thread: Ask Mrs. Utah About Birthin' Babies, in the Lounge. It's good. There is a rash of interesting 'Ask' threads that are developing.

Who knows the earliest occurence of a thread of this form type in existence on 2+2?

Some of the original threads were apparently deleted as being lame... but the earliest still around in the Ask X about Y format, is Anacardo's from March 24th in OOT. On that day, the use of this format exploded in OOT, spawning many ask about and anti-ask about threads...

You can use search for, +ask +about -re: subject only, on OOT and get a rather lengthy list.

He starts with "Everybody else is doing these Ask X about Y, so I figured I'd do one, too." Seems unlikely he's the first. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

It's kinda a shame the real first got deleted. I'm a fan of these threads; they seem high content, low mean oneliners, and easily avoided by the folk who hate them.

Yeah I totally agree. 2+2 must've loved them too because page views for some of those were off the charts. Among my faves were the reformed drug addict (Layzie), the parapalegic (can't remember), the cop one (ItalianFX) and the black one which got deleted ([censored]). It was definitely a welcome trend.
