Default A river raise/fold?

UB 1/2 6max, Villain is 73/7/1.28 over 95 hands. Read: he calls down a lot, but it's always with a piece of the board.

preflop:
Hero has Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and openraises in the CO. Villain calls in the SB.

flop5SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Villain check/calls my bet.

turn3.5BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Villain check/calls my bet.

river4.5BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villain bets, Hero raises, Villain 3bets, Hero ????

I figured a standard calling station would just c/r turn with a 7 like they all do (I would've folded to a turn c/r) so I thought he had a pocket pair (or a 9). He'd call a raise with those hands imho so I raised and was lost vs the 3bet.

I wouldn't raise the river against this villain. As played I'd call on more bet.

Call. Capping isn't really an option on this paired board and folding is even less. Since this guy seems to be such a donk, he probably hit soemthing with the river, maybe a set of deuces or three pair.

This guy's aggression is very high for his VPIP. I like a raise/call on the river.

Raise/fold would be awful. Raise/call is fine, and probably about the same as just calling the donkbet.

I'm winning more than 1:9.5 vs the hands he 3bets? What hands do you think he 3bets here?

Read one of the dozens of posts discussing the relationship between VPIP and PAF. In a nutshell, a 1.78 PAF combined with a 78 VPIP means he could have any pair with the board, any pocket pair, and possibly even overcards trying to finish you off with a donkish bluff.

Edit: if the 3bet scares you, why doesn't the donkbet? If you can't call the 3bet, just call the donkbet and showdown.

Because he doesn't 3bet hands like 9x or 88 imho, which make up a huge part of his range. Apparently you think his stats suggest he's superagressive (and I have no reason to doubt you as I obv need to read more on what PAHUD stats mean) but at the table he didn't seem overly agressive to me, he really played like a standard calling station imho.
