I completely agree with Bilgefisher. It's also much better learning experience when you're first allowed to make a mistake and then you're corrected.

Shouldn't sweat sessions be an option that two players can take as part of the whole session review process anyway? It seems like we'll have two people co-ordinating etc. When we could just have one.

I think TJO is trying to set it up so this is basically an extra review. (please correct me if I'm wrong). Also, your session review partner may not want to do a sweat session or have the time. This is an extra opportunity to do so. We're merely giving suggestions to TJO and martybonus so it can be setup without many hickups or any ethical issues.

edit: rereading..that may sound confusing. Session reviews and sweat sessions would be setup entirely separate. (I read in one of these posts, on opposing weekends from review sessions)

hey gang,

waiting to see what the mods think.

watkins, the purpose of them (a bit more on this above if you're real keen) is to complement session reviews. i sorta suggested it last week and everyone was like 'ok, fine, but you sort it out mate' and i was like 'ok.'

rest assured that I am reading every post made on the topic.

and hey, in any event, it's not ME that decides what form these should take.

I'm doing this for US! if the bulk of people feel that post-hoc is the way forward (pun intended) then great!

my opinion on the matter is entirely irrelevant

I've pretty much got my mind made up about the whole nitfest, but I want to wait until Aussie wakes up before posting anything official.

I'm more than happy to call people nits, even if I agree w/ them.

Where the F did this real time advice BS come from? Sweating is discussing the hand after the fact, period. If you guys are doing it any other way, you aren't doing it how it was originally done a long time ago on 2+2. When I had sweat sessions, I would say my cards in a chat room and minimize the window. If anyone said anything about how I should play the hand I would tell them to STFU. If they did it again I kicked them out of the chat. It's simple. Wait until the hand is over to say anything about it.

[/ QUOTE ]I think Marty is the main organizer of this thing since it was his idea in the first place. I volunteered to run this thing in some previous post if no one else stepped up. I'm still happy to offer any assistance to Marty if he wants it (although I'm not very smart man).

I just tried to support Marty's idea with some suggestions in the previous thread. I think it's best if we decide together how to run this thing. My idea was to run it like session reviews but there were other suggestions also.
