id check call a 1/2 PSB. give him a chance to bluff when hes missed, and lose the least amount possible when he has it.

if he bets huge i might have to fold here given his stats.

so why not check call a small bet here. we may lose value from a queen but with his stats its more likely he had a FD IMO

I think villian has a big pair or big Ace (AQ more than likely). Given the stats I'd say he was aggressive enough post flop to mix it up if he had anything biger than top pair or even the flush draw.

What do you think his views on you were? What kind of hands would he place you on for you to bet into him after the pre flop raise?

I think you have won this hand 80% of the time. It's a case of judging how much you can extract. Saying that, it could be a case of being WA/WB so a check might be in order.

Sometimes I check-raise, but what I've found is that they fold after that, which is not what I want to happen. Plus if they check behind, I'm screwed. I prefer b/3b.

I waited for a few seconds (so that hopefully he would think I was trying to get some value with a flush and not raise without a high made flush) and put in a $15 bet. He didn't raise it, so it seemed to work. I don't know how bad the play was because I've had an absolutely horrible run the last few days and my confidence (and bankroll) have taken a pretty bad hit.

Actually, if anyone wouldn't mind going through and reviewing a couple of hundred hands, I'd appreciate it.

I don't like a check-call in this spot. You donked him on the flop. If he's OK then he will read your donk as a flush draw or a pair. When the turn brings in the flush and he doesn't raise it looks like you are ahead and there is a good chance he wants to show this down. I'd bet 1/2 pot and call a raise.

I think opponents are less likely to bluff this river after you have played back at their aggression (which you did with your flop donk bet).
