Default Will Foxwoods be busy this weekend because of Labor Day?

My parents has friends in from out of town and they were talking about a day trip to Foxwoods on Sunday. I am thinking of tagging along and playing some poker but I'm unsure of how busy it will be.

I'm not sure how long they are staying, probably 5-6 hours tops, and if I have to wait a few hours for a table at $1/$2 it may not be worth it for me to go.

I've actually never played at foxwoods before so I don't even know what regular weekend waits would be but a 1 hour wait wouldn't be too bad. Plus i assume i'll have to sign up for their players card to play so that'll take up some time as well.

Any help would be great!

Foxwoods is always a little busy on the weekends but I wouldn't anticipate absurd wait times during the afternoon on a Sunday, even for $1/2. I've only ever seen hour+ wait lists at absolute prime time, past 8 PM on Fridays and Saturdays (even on holiday weekends).

Besides when the $1/2 list gets really absurd it kind of becomes irrelevant. You can just get on the list, stand by the host desk with a rack of chips, and every few minutes a frantic floor will come up yelling "Anybody wanna play $1/2?!?!?" Just say "ME!" and they'll seat you.

edit: btw I will be at Foxwoods for most of the day tomorrow and into the night, if anybody's going I'm the skinny kid with a cast on my right arm playing $4/8, holla at me

edit2: you don't have to get a card to play but getting a card takes about 2 minutes and you get $1/hr in comps for playing $1/2. There's a line upstairs outside the casino to do that.

haha well the only other time I've been there with the cast was last Wednesday I think, I was on the $4/8 table in the back corner of the LHE area, bordering the stud area. Don't remember felting anyone though.

You don't even have to leave anymore, they print special poker room cards at Tourney Registration that take 3 minutes tops to get.

Funny part is Foxwoods management closed off big lot on Rt. 2 near Dunkin Donuts for employees for patrons to use and they are making employees park 25 minutes away. They are expecting big crowds this weekend with some promos they have going. Sad part is i think they did it more to piss off employees since as of 5pm on Sat there were 6 cars in that whole parking lot. So if you go you will probably get a lot of pissed off workers who just were added at least 1.5 hours onto their day for no reason.
