Default 100NL 9Ts, What beats me?

I didn't have stats on villian, however he seems extremely aggressive. He has re-raised me pre about 1/2 of the time I raise, and I have seen him try and push people around. I think the river is a fold. But I would be interested in what you guys think he would play like this. In my experience these pot sized river bets are nearly always nuts/air type hand.

My turn bet was that small because it was sort of a blocking bet, I didn't know villian well enough to know whether he folds a crap Q there, and I didn't wanna face a pot-sized bet.

The only thing that makes sense to me is a flush draw.

wouldn't he be raising the flop or at least the turn to see where he is at and to protect himself from the possible flush draw?

that seems really bad. why does he want to turn his mediocre hand into essentially a bluff?

does villian ever do this with 34 or 45? floats flop either picks up pair+gutterball or just sees the small turn bet and goes with the gutshot, misses everything on river and fires after the check?

I don't really see the value in B/F. It saves me from difficult decisions like this, but he will call with nearly everything that beats me, and will prob fold his draws. I just don't see the point. No better hands fold (maybe a crap q folds), and no worse hands call.

So are we betting for value or deciding that our pair isn't good.

I only see QT beating you given his river bet size, so i probably moan and groan and call.

If you are going to bluff the turn, bet more FFS.

Bet more on the flop ($8) and check-raise the turn. It's WAY more effective (and profitable) as a bluff vs. guys like this because he will have junk a lot of the time if you play it that way.
