I posted this in the wrong HSP thread, but I don't think the vagina medicine ads are targeting their ideal demographic on this program.

ROFL. GSN has so many lame medication commercials... The worst one is either Levitra (When my doctor told me my diabetes may have led to my ED, I was surprised) or the one where there's a HORRIBLE song playing in the background with lyrics like "I will be brave! I will be strong! I'm not there yet, but I will beeeeeee!"

That was a decent episode, and most relevant comments have been made already ie too many commercials and beefcake.

WOW best episode ever? I wish GSN would show more than one hand before they go to commercial break sometimes.

Random notes -
1) Why does Phil Hellmuth not have a reality show yet? Who on TV is funnier?
2) Who is Brian Brandon?
3) Todd definitely should have paid Unabomber, what a dbag move.
4) Haralobos - what's the Jaguar story?

Regarding the Phil/Mouth hand, I honestly thought Phil was gonna give up on the river. Then he asked Mouth how much he had left and Mouth sounded soo weak when he said 65 (or 75, dont remember). Did anyone else pick up on this? Even with seeing the hands, I couldn't believe Phil didn't have trip queens. I hope he's on every episode.

I'm not a Phil Hellmuth fanboy, but c'mon he has a point. Some no-name makes a comment like that to a guy thats won 11 WSOP bracelets. Its not like Hellmuth has NO poker skills, and while that hand was pretty good, he's accomplished a fair bit more in his career.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah Brian Brandon is just a d-bag who needs to STFU

Entertaining, yes. Good poker, no. If by best episode ever you mean greatest consecutive string of donkish plays on a show historically filled with them, then yes. Harabolos may get hot womens, but if you make a blocking bet on the river with KK, hmmm chances are you played that hand like [censored]. Todd looked like the only competent player in this episode because he made a couple plays that would be super-standard in any 100NL online game.

This isn't broadcasting on the West Coast yet right? For some reason, I thought it was broadcast simultaneously on previous seasons.

Time Warner Cable changed their feed so now we get GSN-P.

Was Brandon baiting the Magician too with his comments about partying? Or was he being "sincere"

What could have been an epic show was turned into a paid commercial by the suits at GSN. Every time we had a big hand they cut away to the commercial.

At least now I know to Tivo the first 20 minutes and then start watching but it still sucks to see so little poker.

You should be jealous of the ~25 minutes of excellent commercials that we were lucky enough to watch.

Aha! The Phil Hellmuth fanboy IS heard from. Tell us McCutter, how many paper towels did you have to use to clean the stain off your couch after he bluffed that first pot? And did your neighbors complain about the noise?
