Default Variance/Brags/Beats: Poker Pros

What is the main attraction to being a pro. Is it:
The money
The hours (or lack thereof)
Retiring by age 30
What? When (if) you reply just state your income (roughly) how long you've been playing and what the positives and neagtives are. Also, did your parents tell you it was immoral/un-ethical? Finally, did you have a job before ou quit to play poker. This may be a bit too serious for BBV, I know, but these are questions I always had.

EDIT: To qualify as a pro your lifetime graph should slant vertically, some of you "pros" don't have one of those.

I currently rake in like $700 a month. I'm definitely a pro.

It's the easiest way for anyone who is mildly intelligent to make money.

No.

People run well for a while and think that they will keep up that winrate for ever while stepping up in limits. Thus, they imagine extreme wealth in their futures. Plus they probably don't like the idea of having set hours and a boss that a normal job requires.

However, naturally a lot of the people end up realizing that they can't always make what they had expected. Also, playing for a living is an easy way to burn out on the game.
