Yes, this is AHK, not a specific program.

So I am undecided about if I like this post or not....

I did a proof-of concept datamining AHK for stars a few months back, but decided it was best to neither use it myself or put it out in public....

My thinking: $20 spent on a datamining app (for those that want one) >>>>>>>>>>>>&g t; banning of all AHK on Stars.

Although I also agree with the OP - Charging $$ for a 15 line-of-code app is just WOW.

Thoughts?

It is specifically banned in the Terms & Conditions.

I read _dave_ 's comments, and I'm not going to support this in the forum or provide other updates.

One of my favorite uses for this program is to open a large number of tables about 1/2 hour before i sit down, and run the results through PT to see who's running hot and who's running cold, using the script more for table selection than data collection.

**comment -- using the script in this fashion is actually much closer to the actual practice of data mining than the bulk collection of hands that a lot of people are *calling* data mining [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

But it's the bulk data collection that is getting all of the attention, and that's the use that i suspect is most frowned upon.

I was pretty darn happy with myself! I wrote a pretty simple script that did a lot, and I haven't even used AHK for that long.

My only goal -- stated in the OP -- was to share the wealth like so many other 2p2'ers have shared with me. There's a site out there that is setting itself up to be "PokerEdge" for stars, and there are other [censored] out there *selling* hand grabbers. How ridiculous is that?

BUT -- I'd rather not see autohotkey.exe banned, despite all of that. So, I won't be supporting the script anymore, and I won't be publishing updates.

Question about these scripts. I don't play ring games so have no real need to datamine. What I would like to do though is follow the progress of an individual player thru out a tournament.
i.e., I have player "xyz" that is in a tournament and I would like to grab the HH for that player. Now I can manually follow the player and copy/paste from the HH window, but that is not practical except for a STT.
Anyway to automate this?
